Film

Through film we aim to spread a more accurate and diverse image of Kibera the lives of the people living there.

Making film gives our youths the opportunity to participate in and raise their opinions on issues that concerns them. We have access, although limited, to both camera and editing equipment in the center. The youths provide ideas for new films and have a central role throughout the film making process as actors, producers and editors.

We have been awarded a grant from the French Embassy of Kenya’s Social Fund for Development to develop our Art and Music Center with film making, music production and blogs. We aim to educate members of Wale Wale Kenya in these areas and they will in turn educate others and spread knowledge to youths outside of Wale Wale.
